HOW TO COPE WHEN YOUR KID CHANGES THE WORLD

How to Cope When Your Kid Changes The World

Jules Steer talks to MamaMia about how to cope when your kid wants to change the world.

Are warrior kids born, or made? That’s the question that Holly Wainwright and Andrew Daddo of the fabulous Mamamia podcast “This Glorious Mess” asked when they caught up with Oasis Magazine’s publisher Jules Steer to discuss parenting a child who is changing the world.

ICYMI, Jules Steer’s daughter, Molly Steer is the founder of the internationally recognised Straw No More Project, a grassroots campaign that is saving the planet, one plastic straw at a time.

Molly has been successful in promoting the #StrawNoMore message, so much so that the Queensland Government has just decided to ban single-use plastic items across the state.

Enormous thanks to Holly, Andrew and the Mamamia team for shining a light on this Cairns-based organisation.

Jules Steer is the Publisher of Oasis Magazine. With a career in Business Development spanning three decades, she's stressed, #blessed, and coffee obsessed ☕

A solo mum of four "determined", "focussed" and "energetic" young kids, she is often found with her head in her hands, lamenting her latest parenting fail.

A cricket-loving hip-hop tragic, very ordinary triathlete and champion cheerleader of all things #Cairns, Jules is easily recharged with Shiraz and Vodka - sometimes in the same glass.

Warning: Most situations get sweary quickly.
